"The 2017 Saint-Aubin Les Murgers des Dents de Chien 1er Cru comes from a parcel that was actually forest until 1986. Romaric Chavy told me it is always the last vineyard to ripen. It has a fragrant bouquet with apricot blossom, fresh pear and light nectarine aromas, all very seductive. The palate is very well balanced, very pure with a fine bead of acidity. This feels very harmonious and utterly seductive. You could easily drink this now although it will sure age in bottle. Superb. - Neal Martin"

"The 2018 Saint-Aubin Les Murgers des Dents de Chiens 1er Cru comes from a parcel at the top of the hill that tends to ripen last out of all the domaine’s holdings. It has a taut, fresh, Puligny-like bouquet of citrus fruit, hazelnut, flecks of almond and a hint of patisserie in the background. The palate is saline on the entry, very intense and broody, with crushed stone and dewy Granny Smith apples on the persistent finish. This is superb. - Neal Martin"

"The 2019 Saint-Aubin Les Murgers des Dents de Chiens 1er Cru was a little closed on the nose after bottling, but appears to be well defined and nicely focused. The palate is well balanced and shows more promise, displaying lovely walnut/smoky notes on the entry. There is still a little oak to be integrated, but that will be subsumed with time. Just a faint touch of bitter lemon on the aftertaste extends the length. This deserves 2–3 years in bottle before broaching.- Neal Martin"
