jeb dunnuck logo 250"The 2017 Saint Joseph La Butte D'Or is a charmer, offering plenty of spiced red fruits, spice, and loamy soil/mineral-like aromas and flavors. With medium-bodied richness, good balance, moderate tannins, and a solid finish, it's an impeccably made Saint-Joseph to drink over the coming 5-7 years."

2017 La Butte d'Or Saint-Joseph - 92 PTS - WE

wine enthusiast 92 pts"Smoky, granitic tones juxtapose with plump cassis in this lavishly fruity but pristine Syrah. It's a refined, silk-textured sip accented by brisk acidity and fine, pert tannins. The finish lingers on a fringe of musky Darjeeling tea tones. Ready now the wine should hold through 2027. - Anna LEE C. IIJIMA"

2018 La Butte d'Or Saint-Joseph - 89 PTS - JD

jeb dunnuck logo 250"A juicy, elegant wine with plenty of red and darker, earthy fruit, notes of pepper and spring flowers, and medium-bodied richness, the 2018 Saint Joseph La Butte D'Or is balanced, nicely textured, and a solid drink. It should evolve for 5-6 years or more."

2018 La Butte d'Or Saint-Joseph - 92 PTS - VINOUS

vinous logo"Opaque ruby. Aromas of ripe dark berries, licorice and candied flowers take on a smoky mineral aspect with aeration. Silky, fresh and round on the palate, offering sweet blueberry, cherry and spicecake flavors that open up slowly through the back half. Youthfully firm tannins add grip to a very long, smoke- and spice-tinged finish that strongly echoes the blue fruit and spice notes. (made with de-stemmed fruit and raised in oak barrels, 10% of them new) - Josh Raynolds"
