2018 Siegel Naranjo Viognier - 91 PTS - TA

tim atkin logo 250"Quite possibly the only orange wine in South America that's made from Viognier, this spent two weeks on skins during fermentation and was then aged in older barrels. It's a very appealing and unusual wine, with nectarine and blood orange flavours and focused, refreshing acidity. 2020-23"

2019 Siegel Naranjo Viognier - 90 PTS - TA

tim atkin logo 250"One of a growing number of orange wines in Chile - it's good to see the country embracing new styles - this Viognier hails from the Siegel's San Alberto vineyard in Peralillo, planted in 1999. Fermented for three weeks on its skins before ageing in wood, it's a dense, flavoursome white with plenty of grip and extract, some tannic grip and flavours of blood orange, peach and quince. 2021-24"

2022 Siegel Naranjo Viognier - 93 PTS - JS

james suckling hq logo plain"Deep orange hue with a brown tinge. Really perfumed and expressive on the nose, with lots of peaches, dried lychee, honeysuckle, kumquat and gingerbread. A hint of caramel. Medium- to full-bodied and slightly grainy in texture, with plenty of flavors rounded by fine, silky tannins before a rich, sleek finish. Consistently a flavorful and outstanding skin-contact viognier. Drink now."
