2015 Keermont Amphitheatre Red Blend - 91 PTS - WE

wine enthusiast 91 pts

"There are intense aromas of licorice, plums, blueberries and a touch of cinnamon on the nose. The palate is smoothly textured and exhibits blackberry, raspberries and cranberries. Licorice and bay leaf add to its complexity. It's slightly warm, but good acidity manages to keep it fresh. - Jesica Vargas"

tim atkin logo 250"Formerly known as Keermont's Estate Reserve, Amphitheatre is a Bordeaux blend with a Rhône twist, marrying Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec and a splash of Syrah. Full-bodied yet balanced, with tobacco leaf and dark berry fruit, some Asian spices, stylish 20% new wood and refreshing acidity."

2015 Keermont Amphitheatre Red Blend - 95 PTS - VINOUS

vinous logo"The maiden 2015 Amphitheatre has an intense bouquet of dark cherries, star anise, camphor and wild heather scents, all well defined and expressive. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and fleshy ripe red fruit laced with white pepper and sage, fanning out wonderfully toward the finish. This is a beautiful maiden release, exuding breeding and class, from Alex Starey at Keermont. - Neal Martin"
