"Plenty of oak still evident here, soaking up the red-berry aromas and flavors. Medium-to full-bodied with fine, lightly firm and oaky tannins and a reasonably long finish. Good pedigree here, but very closed at the moment and needs plenty of time to show its true self. Cellar for now and try in 2025 or 2026."

The 2016 Barolo Riserva Bussia 90 Dì is terrific. Sweet red cherry, kirsch, blood orange, mint, spice and rosewater lend notable aromatic presence. Medium in body and beautifully delineated, the 2016 impresses with its sublime classiness and impeccable balance. All the elements come together so well here."
