2016 Fenocchio DOCG Barolo Bussia Riserva - 94 PTS - JS

james suckling hq logo plain"Plenty of oak still evident here, soaking up the red-berry aromas and flavors. Medium-to full-bodied with fine, lightly firm and oaky tannins and a reasonably long finish. Good pedigree here, but very closed at the moment and needs plenty of time to show its true self. Cellar for now and try in 2025 or 2026."

2016 Fenocchio DOCG Barolo Bussia Riserva - 94 PTS - VINOUS

"vinous logoThe 2016 Barolo Riserva Bussia 90 Dì is terrific. Sweet red cherry, kirsch, blood orange, mint, spice and rosewater lend notable aromatic presence. Medium in body and beautifully delineated, the 2016 impresses with its sublime classiness and impeccable balance. All the elements come together so well here."

2016 Fenocchio DOCG Barolo Bussia Riserva - 97 PTS - WE

"Camphor, ripe berry, forest floor and oak-driven spice aromas lead the nose. Full-bodied and heroically structured, the youthfully austere palate exhibits dried cherry, raspberry compote, licorice and tobacco set against a tannic backbone. Fresh acidity keeps it balanced. Like the Barolos of Yore, this needs years to come around but will offer decades of pleasure. Drink 2028–2046. - KERIN O’KEEFE"
