2024 Luis XIV Las Blancas Tradicionales - 92 PTS - WA

wa95"The 2024 Las Blancas Tradicionales was produced with traditional white grapes, which is the name of the wine too, and is a blend of 50% Verdil, 40% Merseguera and 10% Moscatel de Grano Menudo matured in tinaja. It has a pale golden color and a balsamic nose that is medicinal and redolent of bay leaf, white flowers (jasmine), fennel, herbs and pollen. It has a lively and vibrant palate, with very good acidity and freshness, a contained 12.3% alcohol and a tasty, salty, bone-dry finish. This is a very good debut. 4,267 numbered bottles produced. It was bottled in November 2024. - Luis GUTIERREZ"

2025 Luis XIV Las Blancas Tradicionales - 92 PTS - WA

wa95"The super young 2025 Las Blancas Tradicionales was produced with traditional white varieties from an ungrafted old vineyard planted with a field blend and a younger plot of Macabeo, so this year it's 75% Verdil, 20% Macabeo and 5% Moscatel de Grano Menudo, fermented in stainless steel and indigenous yeasts. It's primary and very Mediterranean, with notes of aromatic herbs, aniseed and fennel, and it has a lively and fresh palate with an ethereal twist and a bone-dry finish with a salty twist. It has very good acidity and freshness, with 12.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.26 and six grams of acidity. A total of 6,750 individually numbered bottles were produced. - Luis GUTIERREZ"
