"Super-pretty cherry and wild strawberry aromas open to an elegant palate with well-managed, ripe tannins. It is juicy, supported by fresh, direct acidity that drives the wine forward. Oak is very well integrated. 100% Tempranillo from vines aged 40 years or more, and a very good expression of both the vintage and the zone. Chalky tannic lift on the finish. Following malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for 18 months in second- and third-use French oak barrels, clarified and bottled with no filtration, then rested a further 12 months in bottle before release. - Beth Willard."
