"(aged for five months in a combination of French and American oak): Light yellow. Spicy, smoke-accented aromas of pear, orange and honeydew, with vanilla and anise accents. Lush and expansive on entry, then tighter in the mid-palate, offering sappy orchard and citrus fruit flavors that are lifted by tangy acidity. Smoothly plays richness off vivacity smoothly and finishes with excellent power and length."

"The 2011 1583 Albarino de Fefinanes is partially fermented in oak with five months’ lees aging. It has a glorious bouquet of apricot, white peach and what some might remember from their youth, “Arctic Roll” (basically vanilla ice cream surrounded by jam and a spongecake.) The palate is superbly balanced with citric peel, freshly sliced lime and minerals, almost like a Trocken Mosel Riesling on the pixelated finish. Albarino from Rias Baixas does not come much better than this. Drink now-2020."
"Medium yellow straw. A selection of fruit in the vineyard fermented and aged in used, 600 L sherry butts for 5 months with bâttonage, this Albarino weaves together spicy, smoky, lightly toasted vanilla oak with ripe pineapple and apricot on a creamy smooth palate. It finishes dry and with residual oak flavors lingering on the finish. First produced in 1995."
"Even the barrique aged 2014 1583 Albariño de Fefiñanes felt rather light compared with previous vintages. However, with some time it developed some more aromas and the palate felt more intense, with marked acidity and clean flavors. Easy to drink, the oak is quite subtle. - Luis Gutierrez"
"Green-tinged yellow. Highly expressive aromas of fresh pear, orange zest and jasmine are enlivened by a strong mineral accent. Silky, sharply focused citrus fruit and floral flavors show outstanding energy, with an undertone of chalkiness and no excess fat. Concentrated but also lithe, with a long, penetrating finish displaying firm mineral bite and a jolt of iodine. - Josh Raynolds"
