"The 2011 1583 Albarino de Fefinanes is partially fermented in oak with five months’ lees aging. It has a glorious bouquet of apricot, white peach and what some might remember from their youth, “Arctic Roll” (basically vanilla ice cream surrounded by jam and a spongecake.) The palate is superbly balanced with citric peel, freshly sliced lime and minerals, almost like a Trocken Mosel Riesling on the pixelated finish. Albarino from Rias Baixas does not come much better than this. Drink now-2020."

It finishes dry and with residual oak flavors lingering on the finish. First produced in 1995."

Silky and expansive on the palate, offering pliant orchard fruit and orange pith flavors braced by vibrant minerality. Firm, juicy and pure on the penetrating finish, which shows excellent clarity and mineral-driven persistence."
