"The nose of the 2011 Petit Mas Sinén transported me to the 1990s when the reds from Priorat all smelled of wet slate and dry straw. This is a blend of Garnacha, Cariñena, Cabernet, Syrah and Merlot fermented separately and blended before the wine was put in barrel for a short élevage of six months. The barrels used are mostly French, but some 10% are made with American oak. The palate is full-bodied with some grippy tannins and full-flavors that are quite powerful and end quite long, lifted by the alcohol. Wait a bit. 9,000 bottles. - Luis Gutierrez"
