Elegant, poised and immediately appealing. Long finish with a tail of nutmeg, pink pepper and cocoa powder. 100% Tempranillo fruit from vines averaging 25 years of age in the highly regarded 160ha Montebuena vineyard in Labastida, Rioja Alavesa. Fermented in stainless steel tanks then aged in mildly toasted American and French oak barrels (new, second and third use) for 10 months before clarification and bottling without filtration."
