"
These are custom cuvées made specifically for importer Fran Kysela. Palacio del Burgo is a large estate, even for Rioja, with over 494 acres of vines. All three of these inexpensive offerings are impressive and merit serious interest from thrifty consumers. The 2013 Tinto was bottled early to take advantage of its fruit. A blend of 85% Tempranillo, 10% Grenache and 5% Mazuelo, it was fermented and aged totally in concrete. A deep plum/purple color is accompanied by notes of blackberries and camphor as well as wonderfully pure, medium-bodied, savory, luscious fruit, sweet tannin and a heady, fleshy finish. It is meant to be drunk young as it sees no oak, so consume it over the next several years. - Robert Parker"

"Bright ruby-red. Lively red fruit and floral aromas are complemented by peppery spices. Silky, gently sweet and open-knit, showing good heft to its ripe raspberry and cherry flavors. Closes smooth and spicy, with no rough edges; velvety tannins make a late cameo appearance. No oak was used here, just stainless steel and concrete.- Josh Raynolds"
"(fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged in concrete vats) Bright violet. Vibrant red and dark berry scents are complemented by hints of cola and candied flowers. Fresh and energetic on the palate, offering juicy raspberry and bitter cherry flavors that deepen and become sweeter on the back half. Gentle tannins build slowly on the clinging finish but are no match for the plush, primary fruit. This delicious Rioja drinks surprisingly well already. - Josh Raynolds"
"The 2016 Tinto checks in as 85% Tempranillo, 10% Grenache, and 5% Mazuelo, brought up all in tank. It’s a medium-bodied, seamless, unquestionably delicious Rioja that has quality notes of cherries, spice, dried herbs, and flowers. It has plenty of fruit, stays fresh and lively, and would be a great house red."
