"(45 months on the lees): Bright straw-yellow. Deep nutty, toasty macadamia, toffee and maple syrup notes along with yellow apple and ripe pear on the nose. Brisk and intense, showing an attractive yeast autolysis character as well as a slightly oxidative apple dryness--probably from a percentage of older reserve juice--that's countered by intriguing salinity and sound acidity. Finishes with good salty persistence. This sparkling wine grew on me.- Stephen Tanzer"
