2012 Ottella Lugana Bianco - 3 Stars - Washington Post

Washington Post"Trebbiano is a white grape usually made into cheap, innocuous wines. The Ottella is neither. Rather, it is an example of what the grape can be when the viticulture is careful. With apricot and quince flavors, plus a little tangerine and lemon thyme, the wine is ideal for a weekend brunch on the patio or a first course of seafood salad. This is new to the D.C.-area market, but I hope it becomes a standard. 12.5 percent."

I Wine Review"Light straw color. The Lugana Blanco reveals pleasant scents of grapefruit. It's a bright, fresh clean wine with good flavor concentration of quince, citrus, and herbs. It finishes with excellent length. Made from the Turbiano grape, a clone of Trebbiano di Lugana."

2015 Ottella Lugana Bianco - 89 PTS - WE

wine enthusiast 89 pts"Honeysuckle, white stone fruit and honeydew melon scents are at the fore along with a whiff of tomato leaf. The bright, juicy palate is full of white peach, mature apple and a white almond note while fresh acidity perks up the creamy flavors."
