"Transparent yellow. Expansive peach nectar, pear and honey aromas show very good clarity and turn livelier with air. Juicy, penetrating and seamless on the palate, offering an array of concentrated orchard and pit fruit flavors that are sharpened and given spine by a smoky mineral nuance and a touch of bitter orange pith. A pungent floral note appears on a fragrant, impressively persistent finish that leaves behind vibrant Meyer lemon and mineral notes. - Josh Raynolds"

"The base white from this reference point estate, the 2017 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Le Miocene Blanc is mostly Clairette blended with 40% Roussanne. Brought up all in stainless steel, this medium to full-bodied beauty boasts a rocking bouquet of stone fruits, clean citrus, and beautiful minerality. It’s perfectly balanced, has a great texture, and a big finish. It’s great today but will keep for over a decade if you’re so inclined."
"A ripe, honeyed blend of 60% Clairette and 40% Roussanne, the 2017 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc Le Miocene offers scents of tangerines and pineapples on the nose. It's medium to full-bodied on the palate, with those tropical, citrusy notes framed by crisp acids and buttressed by ample concentration. Fine stuff for drinking over the next couple of years, possibly longer. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. - Joe Czerwinski"
