2011 Grand Veneur Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge Les Origines - 90-92 PTS - WA

wa"The 2011 Chateauneuf du Pape Les Origines is composed of 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 20% Mourvedre from 70-year-old vines and aged in new oak. The oak component exercises only a subtle influence on the overall personality of this wine. It exhibits significant creme de cassis, kirsch, blackberry and licorice notes along with a touch of vanillin. Full-bodied, but also accessible, plump and succulent, it can be drunk early in life or cellared for 10-12 years."
