"Bright violet color. A heady, complex bouquet displays scents of ripe dark berries, Indian spices and pipe tobacco, with a vanilla quality building in the glass. Blueberry and bitter cherry flavors are impressively concentrated but lively, picking up a smoky character with aeration. Closes very long and smooth, with gentle tannins coming in late to add shape and grip. "Vivid purple. Cherry, cassis, vanilla and a hint of woodsmoke on the pungent nose. Broad, fleshy and sweet on the palate, offering pliant, oak-spiced black and blue fruit flavors and a strong dose of vanilla. Shows good energy for its richness and finishes plush and long, with supple tannins making a late appearance. There is a lot of rich fruit here but the oak does give me pause. - Josh Raynolds"
