"The 70% Chardonnay and 30% Semillon white 2018 Lágrima Canela feels balanced and fresh, balsamic and a little medicinal with moderate alcohol and nice acidity. It fermented in 300-liter French oak barrels, where the wine matured for eight months. It's nicely textured and has a long and clean finish. It transmits harmony and precision. 5,000 bottles were filled in January 2020. - Luis Gutiérrez"

"Revolutionary in its day, and still one of Argentina’s leading white blends, Lágrima Canela marries Chardonnay with 30% Semillón, all of it from Gualtallary at 1,200 metres. Fermented separately and aged in new French oak, this is fresh, intense and pale in colour, with subtle camomile and beeswax aromas, spicy oak and layers of citrus and quince fruit. This will age really well too."
"The 2019 Lágrima Canela is a blend of Chardonnay with 30% Sémillon from the Uco Valley, aged for up to 10 months in French and American barrels. Greenish yellow in the glass. The complex nose offers notes of cedar, nutmeg, cinnamon and caramel against a backdrop of white fruit, green apple and herbs. In the mouth it’s voluminous with a creamy texture and a gentle palate, while the freshness creeps up on you almost imperceptibly, stretching out and enhancing the sweet spice flavors, followed by a bourbon-like smoky finish. A barrel-aged white with an excellent character bound to please lovers of the style. - Joaquín Hidalgo"
"The style of the white 2020 Lágrima Canela has changed completely;the wine is fresher and less ripe, with a lot less oak. It's a blend of 70%Chardonnay and 30% Semillon from Gualtallary, and it is sharp, freshand citrusy with a mineral sensation lifted by the freshness andacidity. It fermented in 300-liter French oak barrels, where it maturedfor eight months. It's an improvement over previous years. 15,000bottles produced. It was bottled in January 2022. - Luis Gutiérrez"
