2016 Jip Jip Rocks Shiraz - 90 PTS - WA

wa91"Plump, round and appealing, the 2016 Shiraz offers loads of boysenberry and mint. It's full-bodied and supple, offering plenty of early-drinking pleasure. There's no guarantee it will be long-lived, but it's delicious now. - Joe Czerwinski"

halliday logo"Substantial amount of blackberried flavour, served warm and soft, and yet balance seems too to have been a key consideration. This is well turned out. Gum leaf and toasty oak characters round out a high value, and highly drinkable, offering. - James Halliday"

tastings 2019 gold"Black violet color. Aromas and flavors of roasted berries, carob, earth, juniper, and eucalyptus with a velvety, vibrant, fruity medium-to-full body and a smooth, elegant, medium-long finish with suggestions of vanilla gelato, rosehips, raspberry coulis, and roasted nuts. A delicious and satisfying Shiraz that will enhance grilled meats"

jeb dunnuck logo 250"Coming from the Padthaway region of Australia, the2019 Shiraz is a juicy, lively red revealing pretty red and blue fruits as well as a kiss of eucalyptus, pepper, and spice. Medium-bodied, balanced, and nicely textured on the palate, it's beautifully done and about as gulpable as they come. I don't expect it to make old bones, but it would make one heck of a delicious house red to drink over the coming couple of years."

2019 Jip Jip Rocks Shiraz - 90 PTS - VINOUS

vinous logo"Opaque ruby. Spice-accented blackberry and cherry on the fragrant, oaktinged nose. Pliant dark fruit flavors show very good clarity and appealing sweetness, and a snap of juicy acidity adds back-end lift. Finishes on a clinging blueberry note, displaying strong persistence and round, even tannins. - Josh Raynolds"

2019 Jip Jip Rocks Shiraz - 92 PTS - TP

tasting panel somm journal logo"The wine is named for local outcrops of 350 million-year-old pink-red granite. An exceptional value, rhubarb and plum is spicy and generously spreads across the palate. Blackberry preserves and licorice meet with white pepper and a stoniness that combines on the finish with dark chocolate cedar."
