2017 Alain de la Treille Touraine Sauvignon Blanc - 88 PTS - JD

jeb dunnuck logo 250"Another terrific value brought in by Kysela is the 2017 Touraine Sauvignon Blanc, which saw a little bit of skin maceration and six months on lees in tank. Beautiful lime, mint, and flinty minerality all emerge from this medium-bodied, vibrant, pure white that offers plenty of character. It leans toward the racy end of the spectrum yet has good texture. Drink it over the coming year or two.”

2019 Alain de la Treille Touraine Sauvignon Blanc - 90 PTS - W&S

"This wine is densely packed, hiding its stony, citrusy acidity deep in its own recesses. That initial reticence gives way to nectarine and wildflower scents in the finish, suggesting this will open more fully in six months."

2021 Alain de la Treille Touraine Sauvignon Blanc - 92 PTS & BEST BUY - WE

wine enthusiast 92 pts"This linear Sauvignon Blanc is bolstered by pleasing herbal elements that lend complexity. Lemon-gold in color, the wine has an aromatic nose of ripe green apple, dried hay, Bosc pear, fennel, white blossom and petrichor from a first rain. Some chalkiness on the midpalate is followed by lemon citrus on the long finish. This wine would pair well with vegetable dishes."

2021 Alain de la Treille Touraine Sauvignon Blanc - Gayot

gayot logo"Alain de la Treille was born in 1925 in Saint-Georges-sur-Cher, located in the heart of the Touraine vineyards. A farmer and wine enthusiast, he spent his life promoting the Touraine area and Loire Valley wines. During his career, he met Jean-Claude Bougrier, a winemaker also from Saint-Georges-sur-Cher. They became good friends who could spend hours talking about Loire Valley style, terroir and how to improve the vinification process. When Alain passed away in 1985, Jean-Claude decided to create a wine brand to pay tribute to his good friend, and Alain de la Treille wines were born.

It is a pale, yellow Sauvignon Blanc with a nose unfolding grapefruit, lemon and crushed stone aromas. The taste is crisp with flavors of white stone fruit, flowers and grapefruit."
