The co-operative Madonna dei Miracoli of Casalbordino is located at the foot of Galante's Hill, a few meters from the golden beaches of Casal Brdino Lido. It was founded in 1960, thanks to the commitment of 42 small wine growers who shared the same aim to develop the production of the well-known local hills, where the vine has been carefully grown, with patience and devotion, since ancient times.
The winery was named in honor of the Madonna who appeared in Casalbordino's countryside in 1527. Today the co-op counts 650 members.
Madonna dei Miracoli Soc. Coop. Agricola was founded in 1960 by 42 small winegrowers of the area, whose aim was to develop wine production in the “casalesi” hills where vines have been grown with patience and devotion from time immemorial.
The Cooperative has grown over the years and now has 650 members with 1,400 hectares altogether where select vines are grown.
It is an important reality for the economic and social development of the whole district of Casalbordino and surrounding area. The Cooperative’s main aim has always been to produce fine wines from superior grapes.
Winery Acreage: 3,459 acres
Varietals Produced: Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, Trebbiano d’Abruzzo, Sangiovese, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Falanghina.
They farm about 1,400 hectares (3,459 acres) of vines. Many different grape varieties are grown in the area: Montepulciano and Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, Sangiovese, Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio, Falanghina. There, moderating sea breezes from the Adriatic heighten the bouquet of this naturally prolific and robust grapes. The soil is calcareous and stony which is excellent for drainage.

Observed daily over the ripening period, the grapes are selected and vinted in differentiated ways using the most modern technology in the sector. Only the finest components of the grapes are extracted, which are essential for obtaining superior wines. The processing of the wines, is carefully checked at every stage by experts who select the product and pinpoint the best time for bottling and marketing, according to the degree of mellowness required for each type of wine.
