X1 is the first in CT’s Experimental Series and they are starting it off by breaking the sound barrier. Soar to new heights with this New England Style Double IPA. The X1 showcases Mandarina Bavaria Hop. The aroma of tangerines and gooseberries invites you to the amazing taste of Mandarin orange and lime. This is one that will have you wanting more and looking to the future of what the X series has to offer.

The Bell X-1 is a rocket engine–powered aircraft and was a joint National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics–U.S. Army Air Forces–U.S. Air Force supersonic research project built by Bell Aircraft. Conceived during 1944 and designed and built in 1945, it achieved a speed of nearly 1,000 miles per hour in 1948. The X-1, piloted by Chuck Yeager, was the first manned airplane to exceed the speed of sound in level flight and was the first of the X-planes, a series of American experimental rocket planes (and non-rocket planes) designed for testing new technologies.

Chuck Yeager, aged 97, passed away on December 7th, 2020.
