"Full bodied and ripe with black fruits, this is a big wine, with the richness of 100% Merlot. That gives density and juicy blackberry fruits, along with touches of spice and structure from wood aging. The wine needs to age, drink from 2025. - Roger VOSS."

jeb dunnuck logo 250"The 2015 Chateau des Landes Cuvée Prestige is cut from the same cloth yet has the vintage’s more sexy, rounded, powerful style front and center. Cassis, licorice, toasted spices, and dried tobacco notes all give way to a medium to full-bodied 2015 that was ripe tannins, wonderful sweetness of fruit, and a great finish. Made from 100% Merlot brought up in new oak, it’s well worth seeking out and is going to keep for 10-12 years easily."

Spice, a dark texture and concentration hint at the extraction although this does not detract from potential of the fruit. Give this several more years before drinking, certainly don't try it before 2020. - Roger Voss"

"From Château des Landes’ old vines, this is a concentrated, solid wine. Dark tannins have dark chocolate and licorice flavors, with a structure that dominates the fruit and needs to soften. New wood aging was perhaps excessive, but give the wine time. Drink from 2017. - Roger Voss"
