Story of Autees
Autees is a Zoroastrian Goddess who protects all plants, animals and trees on Earth. She rules over life and all things that grow, so with our commitment to sustainability, biodynamic farming, and our respect for living beings, we felt it was fitting to name this wine after her.
Tasting notes
A bright and inviting nose of honeydew melon, delicate honeysuckle, and a touch of marmalade creates a beautifully layered bouquet. On the palate, the texture is smooth and slightly waxy, reminiscent of fresh honeycomb, with subtle floral undertones that add elegance. Juicy apricot brings a hint of stone fruit sweetness, balanced by a refined acidity that leads to a clean, lingering finish. A graceful and well-rounded expression of Pinot Blanc.
RS: 10g/L
Stellar with the firmer cheeses, fresh, ripe fruit and subtly herbed seafood.
"The 2017 Pinot Blanc Autees Momtazi Vineyard has a pretty nose of fresh quince and green pear with nuances of lemon pith, white blossoms and acacia honey. It’s light to medium-bodied, lively and refreshing with good concentration of tree fruits and lovely floral/honey accents, with refreshing acidity and a long, pleasantly phenolic finish. Yum! 440 cases produced. - Erin Brooks"

"While pinot gris is better known among white wines in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, Maysara makes a good case for pinot blanc with this exceptional bottling. Fermented totally in stainless steel, its racy fruit flavors seem to be channeled directly from an orchard. Certified biodynamic. ABV: 12 percent. - Dave McIntyre"
- Washington Post (March 2019), *** Exceptional - GREAT VALUE
"There is a distinctly sweet edge to this wine, suggesting that some residual sugar remains. Flavors and scents show honey and peach, with a hint of apple tart as well. Though made entirely in stainless steel, there's a light streak of caramel in the finish."
