The palate is very well balanced with a fine spine of acidity, very cohesive, maybe just a little more malic than the Maréchaude, yet with just as much persistency in the mouth. "Once again, reduction renders the nose impossible to accurately evaluate. The round and suave medium weight flavors possess a silky mouth feel as well as fine intensity before terminating in a tightly knit, dry and mineral-infused finish. This is really quite impressive and the name certainly telegraphs the pronounced stoniness. Worth considering."

"The 2011 Pouilly-Fuisse Clos Sur la Roche has a well-defined, mellow, cohesive bouquet with scents of lime flower, quince and honeysuckle. The palate is fresh on the entry with a lovely citric thread. There is impressive tension here although it needs to develop a little more persistency on the finish. Otherwise, this is an attractive wine. - NM"
