The Ribusieri Agricultural Society is located in the commune of Cinigiano, in the heart of the ancient winemaking village of Montecucco. Montecucco's viticultural roots date back to the 8th Century, though it wasn't until 1998 that it received its DOC status. Today the DOC comprises over 80 producers.
The soil is arid, with a mix of sandstone and clay. The estate is nestled 180 meters above sea level on the southwest foothills of Mount Amiata, an ancient inactive volcano in the Orcia river valley. Ribusieri lies on the left bank of the Orcia, while its more famous cousin, Montalcino, is on the right.
Ribusieri incorportates innovative farming techniques & sustainable methods into its production of Sangiovese and Vermentino. Winemaker Luigi Anania produces 3,500 9-liter cases annually.
