Kirsch is the oldest eau-de-vie, since its origin is traced back to the 18th century. This is probably the most typical in Alsace. The highest quality kirsches are aged for a long time, sometimes over 10 years. Produced from black cherries with large stones, it offers powerful and full-bodied aromas and a nutty bouquet.
