Abeja Chardonnay Washington State
Abeja
United States - Washington

Creamy lemon and chamomile mingle on the nose with nectarine and toasted almond. Ripe grapefruit first appears on the palate with a burst of mouthwatering acidity. The citrus notes continue to develop throughout an unctuous, round midpalate with notes of stone fruits as layers of grilled pineapple and white pepper culminate throughout the signature, lengthy finish.

vinous logo"The 2020 WA State Chardonnay show beautiful range and finesse from this warm vintage. Baking-spice-laced challah bread and banana tones meld with a rich mouthfeel and really gratifying length on the palate. The veil of tension holds everything brilliantly in place. Enjoy this beautiful wine over the next seven years.- Owen Borgreen"

"Aged invinous logo 250 French oak, 40% new, the rest one and two years old. Pale, bright yellow. Subtle spicy and floral notes add interest to the peach and lemon aromas. Supple and silky in the mouth, with a dry lemon zest edge and faintly saline minerality combining to give this wine a sappy, food-friendly character. Finishes dry and firm. - Stephen Tanzer"

Wine Enthusiast 93 Pts"Another classic vintage of Abeja Chardonnay, this is a memorable style that’s built around yummy barrel flavors of toast and caramel, with notes of stone fruits. The three vineyard sources—Celilo, Conner Lee, and French Creek—form a perfect crescent across the state and capture the essence of three quite different AVAs. It has lovely texture and length, with… - P.G."

wine spectator 94 pts"Abeja Chardonnays are as certain to hit their target as a Kobe Bryant slam dunk, and the style remains consistent vintage after vintage. Spicy, nutty, based around stone fruits and melon, they do not shy away from the toasty flavors that derive from barrel fermentation in 40% new French oak.
