Grasevina: It thrives and adjusts well to different soils and adores continental climates. Not only that, but Graševina proved to be resistant to ever-expanding natural challenges, and careful viticulture brings results even in the most challenging years.
In the past, Graševina’s international reputation suffered due to two reasons. Firstly, certain countries oriented their production to quantity and not quality; secondly, it was often compared to Rhein Riesling (a completely different grape variety) and considered an inferior imitation.
Today, no celebration or a good party in Croatia goes without Graševina. It’s so popular and in demand that Graševina is planted at more than 50% of the total vineyards in many continental parts of Croatia. Internationally approved, this wine often receives recognition in various international wine competitions. During the initial stages of development, the grapes resemble green peas, and oddly enough Graševina means “green peas”.
Graševina stands out with fresh aromas of green apple, citrus, and white floral notes. Round and harmonious on the palate with balanced acidity, citrus and fresh fruit flavors, and a clean, refreshing finish.

"Fermented and aged in stainless steel and sold in a one-liter format, the Erdut Grasevina is crisp and appealing with aromas and flavors of orchard fruit with citrus notes. Good balance with a clean, long finish. Good value. The wine is made by Erdutski Vinogradi (Vina Erdut), a wine estate dating to the early 18th century. It’s located in the small town of Erdut located along the Danube in Croatia’s Slavonia region. It has 450 hectares of estate-owned vineyards, over half of which is planted to the Grasevina grape variety, located on mountain slopes with a southern exposure and soils rich in loess deposit. Vina Erdut makes several different bottlings of Grasevina, some of which have won Gold at Mundus Vini."
