2021 Rinaldi Moscato d'Asti - 91 PTS - WE

wine enthusiast 91 pts"If I had not seen the crystal clear shimmering wine in the glass, I would have thought this was a Bellini on the nose. The vibrant and intense peach aroma dominates the wine. There are subtle hints of mint and lemon, but this wine is a peach orchard in a bottle. Luckily, the bright acidity keeps the wine intact and allows it to end vibrantly and with a freshness that a Bellini lacks. Kysela Père et Fils. - Jeff PORTER"

guide internet vins selected"Beautiful bright yellow color with green reflections and a nice creamy and gourmet rim. Intense nose that develops beautiful exotic scents, muscat, fresh grapes, pear and pineapple. The palate is delicate, with the right effervescence, saline and digestible and above all of a remarkable drinkability. Gourmet and salivating finish of quince jelly. Serve very fresh all day."

reversewinesnob logo 250"Rinaldi Moscato d’Asti – Sweet, Smooth and Sensational
Dessert in a bottle! A Bulk Buy rating on a lovely, low-alcohol sweet wine, the Rinaldi Moscato d’Asti.

The 2016 Rinaldi Moscato d’Asti opens with sweet and succulent aromas of orange rind, honeysuckle, peach and a little baking spice. Tasting the wine reveals fresh, candied, honeyed and sweet citrus fruit flavors. A sweet, smooth, substantial and lively mouthfeel adds a level of elegance and a touch effervescence and good acidity helps take the edge off all the sweetness. This is dessert in a bottle! It ends with a crisp, sweet and long finish.

Interestingly, this wine used to be named “Bug Juice” (you can still see the bugs on the label). I’m assuming this was because of the sweetness, but this bottle offers a lot more than just some sugar! Plus the low alcohol makes it a refreshing treat almost anytime."

bti"Bright pale light silvery emerald color. Lively, fruity aromas and flavors of peach soda, apple sauce, and pear skin with an even, crisp, spritzy, moderately sweet light-to-medium body and a smooth, interesting, medium-length orange sherbet, honeyed apricots, and chalk finish with fine, dusty, fruit tannins and no oak. A light and lively Moscato d'Asti."

2012 Rinaldi Moscato d'Asti Bug Juice - 92 PTS - WA

2012 Rinaldi Moscato d'Asti Bug Juice - 92 PTS - WA

Wine Advocate 92 Pts"Each year, one of the finest Moscatos comes from Rinaldi, and the fabulous label and hilarious reference to "bug juice" only adds to the fun. This light-bodied, low alcohol (4-5%) Moscato is bursting with notes of honeysuckle, lychee nuts, peaches, mangoes and spring flowers. The intoxicatingly intense aromatics are followed by a wine with some residual sugar, although that component is well-balanced by the wine's acidity and freshness. These Moscatos are best drunk in their first 6-9 months of life, so drink this Bug Juice up immediately. "

Wine Advocate 91 Pts"Made from 100% Moscato d'Asti, and incredibly packaged with a fabulous label, the 2011 Rinaldi Moscato d'Asti "Bug Juice" is pure spring flowers, fresh pineapple, honeysuckle, peach and apricot, which all soar from the glass. With about 5% alcohol, it is a gloriously fresh Moscato fruit-bomb. Drink it over the next year. The good news is that there are about 5,000 cases of it imported to the United States, and importer Fran Kysela says that his favorite accompaniment to this wine is a big wedge of Gorgonzola cheese."
