Trione Sauvignon Blanc is a rich expression of the varietal. Honeydew melons, nectarines, and white peach all come to mind when tasting this wine. It is a great example of Russian River Valley Sauvignon Blanc.
The pairings are almost too numerous to mention …except for Trione's favorites, Beau soleil oysters, Brillant-Savarin cheese and a fresh baguette. Cheers!
"From estate-grown grapes that were picked in early September, this white is fruity, textured and fresh, with pithy elements of white peach and melon. Balanced acidity doesn't detract from its lasting succulence and integrated richness. - VIRGINIE BOONE"

"When it isn’t quite spring yet but the first faint glimmerings are starting to appear on the horizon, I start yearning for bright, citrusy whites like this tingly, lime zesty Russian River Valley Sauvignon Blanc from Trione. (and regardless of season, this would be killer with sushi of any kind)"

"Picked before the Kincade fires hit the Alexander Valley, this white is grassy and herbal, with a hint of matchstick on the nose. It is stony and chalky on the palate, tasting of candied lemon peel and honeydew melon. - VIRGINIE BOONE"

"Made in a refreshingly light and bright style, this wine shines in stony minerality—its bite is of green apple, its aroma laced in hibiscus. Smooth and sublime on the palate, with clean, focused flavors, it adds a note of grapefruit pith that pierces the finish."

"While shelves out there are full of Chard, among the whites in our competition, Sauvignon Blanc offered the most well-balanced, well-priced bottles. Time to switch to Sauvignon?"- Sunset Magazine (October 2016), "The wine to buy this year"

"Grassy lime, kiwi and crème brûlée provide succulence and substance to this wine, surrounded refreshingly by ebullient acidity. Fermented in stainless steel, it was then aged minimally in neutral French oak. The wood provides firm structure without getting in the way of the fruit."

"Rich and creamy like an Haut Brion Blanc, with that zingy undercurrent of green and lavish oak all seamlessly merged together."

"The family farms 125 acres in the Russian River Valley, where the Sauvignon Blanc is planted in gravelly soils. The resulting wine is stately in bristling acidity, ripe melon, peach and a sneaky streak of jalapeño that gives intrigue. Juicy and ripe, it offers a moderate level of richness that's pleasing on the palate. - Virginie Boone"
