Antonio Camillo
Italy - Toscana

Antonio Camillo began working in the vineyards in 1991 and have spent many years walking through the rows of the Maremma’s vineyards, transforming many different grapes into wine and developing his own vision of viticulture and the agricultural calling of this land. This has allowed him to select, in the most inland and hilly areas of the Maremma, the best vineyards in terms of exposure, soil, and age. He has been driven by a desire to understand the vines, the soils in which they grow, their connections to the surrounding environment, and the men and women who work there. Over the years, he has developed his own vision of which grapes to grow and how to transform them into wine, weaving together the past and the present, agriculture and the farmers. He tends the vineyards and make wine guided more by instinct than by knowledge, driven more by emotion than by rational understanding.
