Inspired by Verreaux's Eagle, more commonly known as the Black Eagle, threatened by poisoning by livestock farmers. The dark, forboding aspect of the beer reflects the dark intensity of this majestic bird.
Near-black, with a slight haze and tan to off-white head. Ruby highlights may appear. dominant roasted malt, chocolate and coffee flavors, subtle nutty flavors and hints of vanilla. Distinct sweet orange zest aroma and aftertaste. Hop aroma is classically light, with some spicy ginger and earthy notes. Bitterness medium
