Our Cabernet Sauvignon comes from a friend’s biodynamic vineyard in the foothills of the Andes, at an altitude of 800m above sea-level. This is marginal terroir for Cab Sav, and the result is a much lighter and more delicate wine than the typical juice-bombs from the valley floor. A truly elegant wine, and an example of what Chilean Cabernet can be when it’s produced from non-traditional areas of the country.
At La Despensa, the team is proudly Colchagüino. All the wines are produced from grapes grown in the Colchagua Valley. They say they'll never make wines from another valley!
