"Black cherries, spicy wood, pepper, and orange blossom nuances all emerge from the 2024 Vacqueyras Château Mazane, always the more structured of the cuvées from this team in Vacqueyras. It's based on 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, and 10% Mourvèdre from stony and clay soils and was raised in a mix of tank and Allier oak barrels, with 35% of the wine in barrel. Medium-bodied, nicely concentrated, and balanced on the palate, it has ripe tannins and nicely integrated acidity. Give it a year or two and enjoy it over the following decade. Drink 2028-2038."
