"Bright medium ruby. Pungent aromas of cassis, licorice pastille and herbs are less minty and weedy than those of the 2014 Reserve Malbec. Moderately dense and juicy, with its fine-grained, well-delineated blackberry, cassis, licorice and bitter chocolate flavors conveying good energy. I marked this down a bit for its slightly underripe/overripe combination of greenness and nuttiness, but it's clearly sweeter than the Malbec. Finishes with dusty tannins. - Stephen Tanzer"
