Ferren Pinot Noir Frei Road
Ferren Wines
United States - California - Sonoma Coast

This vineyard has been farmed by the Martinelli family for generations, and continues to be tended by George Martinelli. A mild climate graces this corner of Sonoma, and grapes ripen slowly in the well-draining Goldridge soil. Located near the village of Graton in the rolling hills south of the Russian River, Frei Road Vineyard produces Chardonnay and Pinot noir of great complexity, tension, and minerality.

wine spectator 96 pts"Wet pine and chaparral notes add a piquant edge up front, followed quickly by a rather solid core of dark cherry and blackberry preserves. There’s a pretty gloss of toast on the finish, giving this a flattering feel in the end. Shows impressive range and depth overall. Drink now through 2032.—J.M."
