thewineknowlog2 logo"40% Ciliegiolo, 40% Grenache, and 20% Carignan from young vineyards in Manciano and Pitigliano in the Maremma region of SW Tuscany. Maceration on the skin for 10 days. Aged 4 months in cement. Medium ruby 13.5%. Savory, garrigue herbs/leather loamy bouquet. Ripe fragrant, mineral earthy flavors with fine rustic tannins, ok acidity. Chewy tannins, medium full body. Solid, lengthy, firm finish. Shows fine depth, and real sense of the countryside ‘wild side’. Now-2029. - Joe BUTLER MW"
