"Similarly colored, the 2018 Vacqueyras Château Mazane offers a more focused, firm, structured style. While I normally prefer the Grande Garrigue cuvée, this might be a step up in 2018, and it certainly shows more structure and length. A blend of 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, and 10% Mourvèdre, brought up in tanks and barrels, it’s going to be one of the gems in 2018."

With medium to full-bodied richness, a round, supple mouthfeel, and plenty of underlying structure, it’s a seriously good 2018 Vacqueyras that will have 8-10 years of ultimate longevity."
