Trione Zinfandel Flatridge Ranch
Trione
United States - California - Sonoma Coast

Flatridge Ranch is a secluded parcel in the coastal mountain range, west of the Rockpile AVA. Here, the Trione family planted a 10 acre vineyard in 2008. The vines are a unique Zinfandel selection called Saint Peter's Church, whose provenance is a 100-year-old block in Cloverdale, a small town north of Trione's Geyserville winery.

Sweet briar pipe tobacco and cigar box are the first impressions of this wine. Rich, velvety textured, soft and supple with concentrated flavors of plums, fruit leather and berry jam.

2013 Trione Zinfandel Flatridge Ranch - 88 PTS - WA

wa88"Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2013 Zinfandel Flatridge Ranch has a savory/meaty note over a core of black fruits, dried mulberries, licorice and spice box. Full-bodied and powerful in the mouth, the rich, ripe fruit is lined with soft, plush tannins and just enough freshness, finishing a little hot."
