Rubus Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
Rubus Project
United States - California - Napa Valley

The Rubus Project was created by Fran Kysela as a way to source & sell incredible wines at value prices. All wines in this international project are hand-selected by Fran Kysela. Rubus wines are fruit driven, true-to-type values that over deliver - a true representation of quality for the consumer at an excellent price.

Its long finish displays full mature flavors of blackberry, currant and chocolate with just a hint of toasty oak and black cherry. The tannins are refined and polished, allowing the fruit to be the focus.

beverage dynamics logo 250"A 2012 Napa Valley cabernet for under $40, Rubus is an absolute steal. Ripe blackberry, currants and nuances of tobacco and vanilla on the palate. The finish is long and impressive with notes of chocolate and black cherries. Finishes with just a touch of fine silky tannins."

cellar tracker logo 250"A very pleasant Cabernet Sauvignon. Appeared garnet, almost purple in color, and was transparent. A medium amount of moderately fast legs. On the nose there was vibrant fruit with strawberry, plum, and blackberry. On the palate black cherry was prominent, along with plum and blackcurrant. There were mild tannins throughout with a quick finish. A medium to full bodied wine."
