Story of Jamsheed
According to ancient Persian legend, King Jamsheed was able to observe his entire realm by peering into his full wine goblet.
Many think that 2015 is the best year Oregon has had in a long time. If you’re looking to age wines, 2015 is a great choice to start buying up and holding for a long time to come. Pretty fruits, the Oregon earthiness you’ve grown to know and love come together in harmony with a wine that is fit for any
This approachable Pinot covers all the bases. Plenty of generous fruit, with black cherry, raspberry, blackberry, plum, and black currant, play beautifully with its slightly more serious side of sweet smoke, forest floor, and cracked black pepper. Well-integrated fine tannins and a long finish make this the ideal dinner party wine.
Always offering generous accessibility, pair Jamsheed with darker fowl, grilled meats or salmon, even caramelized veggies.
"All umami at this stage in its life, this wine leads with tobacco and mushroom scents, following up with background notes of pine tips and cedar. The wine’s elegance is quietly attractive, with smooth tannins for a truffled mushroom pasta."

"Maysara's owners believe in holding vintages until wines are fully evolved rather than releasing them chronologically. So this is the current vintage as of early 2022. It's taking on sunset hues around the edges, and it's soft and smooth on the palate. To find a well-stored, well-aged Pinot from this outstanding vintage at this price is rare indeed. Spicy strawberry fruit and leaf flavors, light tannins and firm acids keep it fresh and lively. - Paul GREGUTT"

"Sleek, elegant and complex, with violet and cherry aromas that lead to spry raspberry, black tea and spice flavors. Drink now through 2020. 5,000 cases made. –TF"

"This biodynamic grower and producer makes distinctive wines that require a bit of a palate adjustment for some tasters. Here, there are some funky earthy aromas suggesting compost and barnyard, with flavors following. There is little of the fresh bright fruit flavors one might associate more commonly with Oregon Pinots, but plenty of complexity, length and a light touch of new French oak."

"The 2014 Pinot Noir Jamsheed has a better bouquet than the 2013 with more red and black fruit developing in the glass, hints of melted tar and undergrowth emerging with a few swirls of the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit, decent weight in the mouth with a well-defined finish. This is good value Pinot Noir to enjoy over the next 3-5 years."
