jeb dunnuck logo 250"The base cuvée, the 2018 Châteauneuf Du Pape Le Miocene Blanc has incredibly classic notes of pear, pineapple, and white flowers, with just a hint of salty minerality. It's beautifully textured, medium-bodied, and refreshing on the palate. It's about a classic as they come and readers looking for an introduction into the whites of the region should grab a few bottles. It will keep for 2-3 years.."

vinous logo"Pale brilliant straw. High-pitched aromas of lemon zest, Anjou pear, anise and white flowers, backed by a hint of smoky minerality. Densely packed but lithe in character, displaying very good clarity to the mineral-drenched orchard fruit, citrus zest and honeysuckle flavors. The floral note carries emphatically through the finish, which lingers with impressive, mineral-driven persistence. - Josh Raynolds"

wa92"A ripe, honeyed blend of 60% Clairette and 40% Roussanne, the 2017 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc Le Miocene offers scents of tangerines and pineapples on the nose. It's medium to full-bodied on the palate, with those tropical, citrusy notes framed by crisp acids and buttressed by ample concentration. Fine stuff for drinking over the next couple of years, possibly longer. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. - Joe Czerwinski"

jeb dunnuck logo 250"The base white from this reference point estate, the 2017 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Le Miocene Blanc is mostly Clairette blended with 40% Roussanne. Brought up all in stainless steel, this medium to full-bodied beauty boasts a rocking bouquet of stone fruits, clean citrus, and beautiful minerality. It’s perfectly balanced, has a great texture, and a big finish. It’s great today but will keep for over a decade if you’re so inclined."

vinous logo"Transparent yellow. Expansive peach nectar, pear and honey aromas show very good clarity and turn livelier with air. Juicy, penetrating and seamless on the palate, offering an array of concentrated orchard and pit fruit flavors that are sharpened and given spine by a smoky mineral nuance and a touch of bitter orange pith. A pungent floral note appears on a fragrant, impressively persistent finish that leaves behind vibrant Meyer lemon and mineral notes. - Josh Raynolds"

Notes of citrus blossom, white peach, and tangerine all emerge from the 2016 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc Le Miocène, and it's balanced, clean, and medium-bodied. Drink it over the coming couple of years. This cuvée is 60% Clairette and 40% Roussanne."

vinous logo"Limpid straw-yellow. Aromas of ripe orange, pear nectar and honey pick up a hint of fennel with air. Smooth and seamless on the palate, showing very good depth and heft to the pliant citrus and orchard fruit flavors. Rich and creamy yet vibrant as well, thanks to a spine of juicy acidity. Lingers impressively, leaving behind notes of tangerine and poached pear. - Josh Raynolds"

wa90"Their 2015 Châteauneuf du Pape Le Miocène Blanc is their classic cuvée and is 60% Clairette and 40% Roussanne, all from the Cabrières lieu-dit, and I believe raised mostly in stainless steel. It’s fresh, crisp and classy, with medium-bodied notes of spiced apples, citrus blossom and honeysuckle. Drink this elegant, beautifully pure white over the coming 2-3 years. - Jeb Dunnuck"

international wine report logo"The 'Le Miocene' Blanc is a relativly new project from the Jaume family started back in 2013, made from a blend of 50% Clairette, 30% Roussanne and 20% Grenache Blanc. It offers vibrant aromas of bright with aromas of white flowers, citrus and fresh mineral. This shows impressive balance and weight through the palate into the long, fresh, and acidic finish. wa91"While this estate's reds get most of the glory, they produce a number of high-quality whites. The 2013 Châteauneuf du Pape Blanc, which is made from 60% Roussanne and 40% Clairette, is lively, fresh and focused, with firm apple blossom, citrus, lime and hints of minerality. It shows the freshness of the vintage, yet still has solid depth and richness to its fruit. It will be better in another six months or so and have 3-4 years of prime drinking. I've no doubt it will evolve for much longer as well if you're so inclined. - Jeb Dunnuck"
